Stately 4 Bed/4.5 Bath home sitting on 25+ beautiful acres, complete with mature trees, pasture, and a 2+ acre private lake. Enter through the 8 foot double wood doors into the 2 story foyer and you are greeted by a beautiful oak staircase. Hardwood floors and crown molding run throughout most of the main floor and plantation shutters are many of the windows. The spacious kitchen was recently remodeled and is outfitted in stainless appliances and granite counters. Also in the kitchen are two large islands, one with a prep sink and another that can seat multiple people along the bar. Additionally, there's an eat-in space and tons of cabinets. Adjacent to the kitchen, lies the powder path and formal dining space. A woodburning fireplace flanks the dining room which is large enough for the biggest of family meals. Also on the main is the expansive family room and sun room. Large windows with plenty of natural light provide breathtaking views that overlook the patio, pool, and lake. Also in the family room are convenient built-ins and 10 foot ceilings. New in 2014 was a main level master suite addition with an eastern wall of windows that give sunrise views over the lake. Master bath is complete with double copper sinks, tiled walls and floors, walk-in tile shower with dual shower heads, and thoughtful storage. The master closet is enormous with numerous built-ins and three tiers of hanging rods. Finishing out the main floor is the laundry room you've hoped for. Custom built-ins that provide an entire wall of storage, drop-zone lockers, hanging space, wash sink, and granite counters to do your folding on. Upstairs are three large bedrooms and two bathrooms. The former master suite has a walk-in closet, double sinks, large tub, and a walk-in shower. In the basement, you will find an open rec/family room, exercise room, recently remodeled bath, and plenty of storage. Step out the back of the home to a luxuriously tiered paver patio with pergola and mature landscaping. Numerous places to escape and enjoy the scenic views and relax to the sound of the bubbling brook that makes its way through the patio. Between the patio and the lake lies the recently installed inground pool. Pool is heated/cooled and has automatic cover. If the side load garage won't hold it all, an incredible metal outbuilding(approx 30'x70') is just steps away with overhead and walk through doors. Backup generator for house installed in 2016. Propane tank buried for aesthetics. Meticulous pride of ownership evident around every corner inside and out. Updates include, but not limited to: Main floor and kitchen remodel, master suite addition, Lagoon & fence(2014), Pool and landscaping, backup generator, shed addition(2016), house exterior, basement, and laundry(2017/18). The City of Benton is located in Butler County's Benton Township, which was named after Thomas Benton Murdock. The first settlers arrived in the Benton area about 1870. In 1872 the Township was organized and had an assessed valuation of $20,296.00. The Missouri Pacific Railroad laid its rails through the area in 1883, and the town was platted that same year.

A Petition was made to the Butler County Commission to incorporate the City of Benton on January 6, 1909. The petition was granted and stated an election for mayor and 5 council members was to be held on January 26, 1909 in the I.O.O.F. hall in the City of Benton.
