Kansas is well-known for its amazing, locally grown produce and fresh foods. There's such a long list of farmer markets in the state that our real estate agents thought it'd be a good idea to share some of our favorites found in Wichita and the surrounding areas:

• Old Town Farmers Market - 835 E. 1st St. N, Wichita, KS 67202
  Close to many Wichita homes for sale, this farmers market is filled with treasures. While food is certainly a highlight, you'll find a wide assortment of art, handmade items, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, an area for the kids, and much more. Many locally owned businesses show up at the Old Town Farmers Market to offer a variety of activities, classes, and even the occasional contest.
  
  
• Haysville Hometown Market - 100 S. Main St., Haysville, KS 67060
  People come from miles around to pick up an assortment of foods, including fresh produce, baked goods, eggs, honey, and more. They also offer kids' days where children of all ages can enjoy horse riding and other fun activities. The Haysville Hometown Market also has special vintage market days and features handcrafted artwork such as paintings and jewelry. This farmers market has been around for more than 30 years and is the largest in Kansas. You'll have the opportunity to shop at more than 100 local vendors that feature farm-fresh eggs and hand-harvested honey to baked goods, fruits, vegetables, flowers, and art. You can also find plenty of entertainment, including live music and cooking demonstrations.
  
  
• Kechi Farmers Market - 4533 E. 61st St. N, Kechi, KS 67067
  Located in the parking lot of the Kechi United Methodist Church, the Kechi Farmers Market is a small, intimate attraction. What it lacks in size, however, it makes up for in personality and food! The fresh produce is locally grown and some of the best you'll find in this area. At this market, close to Kechi homes for sale, you'll also be treated to plenty of handmade crafts, kombucha (on tap!), baked goods, jams, jellies, coffee, and other wonderful treats.
