You're about to move to Wichita, and you know there must be some good farmer's markets around town, but you don't yet know where they are or how close they are to you. Fear not.   • Kansas Grown! Market - 7001 W. 21st St. N, Wichita, KS 67205, or 701 E Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67202
    Kansas Grown!
    is the largest grower-owned farmer's market in the state. There are actually two different locations in Wichita. The Main Market at 21st and Ridge meets Saturdays, from 7 am to noon, starting in April and through October. Or, if you're not an early riser, you can go to the Union Station market on Douglas, Wednesdays between 4 and 7 pm, from mid-May until September. In addition to farm-fresh produce, both locations often have themed days and host cool events for you and your family.

  • Derby Market - 512 E. Madison Ave., Derby, KS 67037
    If you're just outside of Wichita, the Derby Market has everything the Kansas Grown! Market has, but a little closer to home. Part of the same grower-owned organization and near these Derby homes for sale, it meets every Saturday from 8 am to noon, April through September.

  • Old Town Farm and Art Market - 835 E. 1st St., Wichita KS, 67202
    For 30 years, Old Town Farm and Art Market has been a Wichita staple. Open every Saturday except Thanksgiving weekend, from April through mid-December, the market features a variety of fun events, from tastings and competitions to yoga to street performers, and more! In addition to hosting local farmers, they also host local bakers, crafters, tea and coffee makers, and many other amazing vendors. 

  • Hometown Market - 100 S Main St., Haysville, KS 67060
    Located near these Haysville homes for saleHometown Market starts in June, and meets on Saturday mornings from 8 am to noon, through September. In addition to fruits and vegetables, they also have farm-fresh eggs, beautiful live plants, and much more. Plus, once a month is Kids Day, which features a variety of family events, from crafting to horseback riding.

  • Cox Farm - 6059 S. Seneca St., Wichita KS, 67217
    Rather than a farmer's market with multiple vendors, Cox Farm is a single, family-owned farm. They also have some of the best and freshest produce in Kansas. Come anytime, Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 7 pm, all year round, to find farm-fresh tomatoes, apples, peaches, plums, and just about any other fruit or vegetable you can imagine.

  • Sargeant's Berry Farm - 9836 S. Hydraulic St., Haysville, KS 67060
    Sargeant's Berry Farm prides itself on strawberries, blackberries, and peaches. They also feature plenty of other fresh produce, from asparagus in the spring to pumpkins in the fall. Open daily from 8 am to 5 pm, beginning in April.
