Unique Museums Around Wichita - J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc.

  • Museum of World Treasures - 835 E. 1st St. N, Wichita, KS 67202
    The Museum of World Treasures is often considered to be one of the best natural history museums in the country. Here, you can see dinosaur specimens, American president signatures, and even a section of the Berlin Wall. The museum is three floors and also features a number of rotating exhibits. It's open Tuesday through Sunday until 5 pm.

  • The Old Cowtown Museum - 1865 Museum Blvd., Wichita, KS 67203
    Time travel back in time at this one-of-a-kind, 23-acre living history museum. The Old Cowtown Museum is filled with live actors and interactive exhibits that will give you a glimpse into what it was like to live in Wichita in the late 19th century. There over 10,000 artifacts that tell the story of Wichita's history. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday until 5 pm.

  • Exploration Place - 300 N. McLean Blvd., Wichita, KS 67203
    Exploration Place is a fascinating science museum with a digital dome theater, planetarium, and a number of interactive exhibits to help inspire learning. Among its highlights are a miniature model display of Kansas in the 1950s and a 7-inch replica of a human mouth. The museum is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm. Best of all, the Exploration Place is just a short drive from these Wichita homes for sale.

  • Wichita Art Museum - 1400 Museum Blvd., Wichita, KS 67203
    This classic art museum has more than 7,000 pieces of historical and contemporary art. From traveling exhibitions to local artists, a day at the Wichita Art Museum is the perfect way to experience culture. In addition to their exhibits, they also host guest speakers, activities, and special curation. Museum hours are 10 am to 5 pm from Tuesday through Saturday. 

  • The Pizza Hut Museum - 2090 Innovation Blvd., Wichita, KS 67208
    Explore where the world's largest pizza chain began at the location of the original Pizza Hut at Wichita State University. Inside The Pizza Hut Museum, you'll find a number of artifacts that tell the story of how the famous restaurant got its start. The museum is open Monday through Friday 11 am to 5 pm.
