In order to begin, you must first be at least 18 years of age. You are also required to have a high school diploma or something of equivalence, as well as be free of felonies.
- Complete a 30-hour Principles of Real Estate Course from Career Education Systems ($250.00) You must have this certificate of completion before registering for the real Real Estate Exam.
- Pass the two sections of the Licensure Exam ($82.00, and a $75.00 re-take exam, if necessary) through Pearson VUE. The test contains 80 general questions, and 30 on specific state questions. In order to pass, a 70% or higher is necessary.
- Submit a finger print to KBI/FBI for a criminal background check ($60.00)
- Complete a 30-hour Practice Course from Career Education Systems ($200.00)
- Choose J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc. and meet with a broker! Learn more about J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc.
- Apply for a license ($15.00) and pay the license fee ($125.00)
- J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc. send the following into KREC
- Education Certificate you are issued when you complete the Principles of Real Estate
- Two forms Pearson VUE will give you when you pass the two sections of the State Exam
- Copy of your Practice Course certificate
- Submit your KBI/FBI criminal background check
