The residential real estate market continues to climb as we venture into 2018! When comparing the market to January 2017, homes sales rose by 3.0%, totaling 588 units this year, up from 571 units last year.

MLS Housing Statistics
The amount of active listings has decreased from December. While, the number of pending listings has increased significantly. Comparing the number of contracts written in January 2017 to January 2018, there was a 9.7% increase. This tells us there are ready, willing and able buyers in our market. Homeowners who have been considering listing their homes may want to do so now.
Average Sales Price
Average sales price has increase slightly from December 2017. Compared to January of 2017 our market saw a 1% increase with average sales price at $153,429 up from $141,358.
Days on Market
The average days on market increased slightly as expected in the later weeks of December and through January. With the holidays behind us and warmer weather approaching, homeowner who are considering selling may want to do so now before the anticipated increase in spring inventory hits our market.
