Autumn is quickly approaching and our city will soon be vibrant with the magnificent hues of fall and crisp air to fuel our enthusiasm for the upcoming holidays! Whether you may be a sports guru or a hopeless romantic, there are plenty of adventures to embark on in Wichita this fall!
♦ Visit Local Coffee Shops!
I say “Local Coffee Shops” with such enthusiasm because, Wichita has a few “knock your socks off” good locally owned coffee shops! Check out a few of my personal favorites;
Reverie Coffee Roasters – As I’ve said in the past “the shop’s name exemplifies the experience”. Get lost in the wonderful aroma of locally roasted and brewed coffee and take in all the local talent that decorates the walls. Visit Reverie at 2611 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS.
Expresso To Go Go – The menu is good…and once you’ve got your feet wet, the barista will inform you there is a secret menu! Order the Velvet Thunder, it doesn’t disappoint! Expresso To Go Go now has two location; “The one with the Disco Ball” is located at 102 St. Francis, Wichita, KS and “The one with the unicorn” at The Lux is located at 102 E 1st St. N., Wichita, KS – Click Here to view location hours.
Mead’s Corner – It doesn’t get much better than this! As if the coffee isn’t enough, try the sausage, egg and cheese bagel breakfast sandwich. It’ll have you stopping in on a weekly basis! Visit Mead’s Corner at 430 E Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67202.
♦ Tour an Orchard and Pick your own fruit –
This activity is on my fall bucket list and I will be dragging my family, willingly or not, to visit a local orchard before the first snow falls on Wichita, Kansas. All venues listed below grow, harvest and allow you to pick your own fruit! To all the husbands out there…You’re welcome!
